Why Cerified Organic?

There are many skin care products out there that claim to be ‘organic’. But what does "organic" really mean?

The truth is the USDA only has regulations on organic products of agricultural origin. The USDA does NOT certify any skin care or cosmetic products as organic. The lack of regulation and common standards has created an array of products claiming to be organic, when organic does not really mean anything on its own.

The BIOselect skin care line is certified-organic. Our motto is:
"We do not just say that our products contain organic ingredients. Our products are certified-organic".
Our products are certified as organic by a well-known European organization, AIAB-ICEA, located in Italy. ICEA is one of the most meticulous organizations in the world that certifies skin care products. It carefully examines the manufacturing process, raw materials, ingredients, processes of testing and even packaging of each product, to ensure that each product it certifies is environmentally-friendly and safe for the consumer.

The Bioselect products that are certified by ICEA DO NOT contain:

• PEG, PPG derivatives (cleansings, emollients, solvents, etc.)
• Ethoxylated substances (cleansings, emulsifyings, etc.)
• Detergents that are aggressive with the skin
• Substances that can lead to environment damage
• Compounds that can generate nitrosammines (cancerogenc substances)
• Animal derivatives as collagen, tallow, placenta, ecc.
• Silicone derivatives
• Acrylic polymers (emulsifiers, viscosity controllers, antistatics, etc.)
• Preservatives as parabenes, formaldehyde, halogenated compounds, thiazolinones, borates
• Synthetic dyes
• Synthetics derivatives of Aluminium and Silicon

The BIOselect products...

• Contain organic raw materials and ingredients of plant origin
• Have environmentally-friendly, non-toxic, recyclable packaging
• Are NOT tested on animals
• Are safe for people with sensitive skin (i.e. allergies, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, and acne)*
• Are based on Olive Oil, which has antioxidants such as polyphenols, promoting healthy, young-looking skin
